Road Trip - Penang

The 2nd Penang Bridge

Penang! The epitome of Malaysia's finest food! But this blog post ain't about my glorious foodventure in Penang, though I did ate the best Penang Laksa at Air Itam and really good and authentic Nyonya food at Gurney!

I actually spent my weekend checking out old-school touristy places that we all visited when we were a kid with our parents. Back to relive those places, plus we had a native to tell us insider stories which made the entire trip so much more interesting!

Guan Yin at Kek Lok Si Temple

A row of buddha statues all around the temple

The Pagoda

The turtle pond still there!

Feeding time!

The dam at Air Itam - Water level is significantly low. I guess water rationing will hit Penang soon?

Then we went to the Thai temple with the Reclining Budhha...

The Reclining Buddha
The Buddha's foot
Tried my luck & spin the "Wheel of Fortune"

I think I got the worst fortune ever! Can't get any worst than "disaster"! D:

Then the opposite of the Thai temple is the Burmese temple. Both temples were so haps, preparing for the Songkran Festival!

More buddha

And on our way back, passed by Komtar!

On our way back, passed by the Heritage are with those infamous graffiti. But we only passed by these which I thought is so much cuter:

And so... that concludes my weekend roadtrip to Penang! Though the weather was extremely hot, but totally worth it!
