I'm in love with SAM SMITH!!!

I'M IN LOVE WITH SAM SMITH! How could you not be?

I was heading somewhere (can't remember where) and that day was pouring rain and getting stuck in a heavy traffic was definitely no fun. Anyway, was switching radio channels from time to time and this song came up.... "Money on my mind".

From that moment, the song was in my head! I only knew that the song was called "Money on my mind" since the chorus was highlighting on that line so much! Then I started singing only that line and annoyed few of my peers.

I started discovering more on his other music and now I'm in love with this one...

Sam Smith is definitely someone to check out. Incredible talent and amazing voice. Check out his debut album "In The Lonely Hour".

Let's kick off the Monday blues by listening to MAGIC MAN's new one called "Texas" and just let loose of yourself and enjoy the sick tunes!

How was that? Feeling good? How about this next one called "Paris"?

Are you addicted to Magic Man's songs yet?

Loves,

The Universe

Last year, I signed up at this awesome site called The Universe and they send me notes every weekday.

Notes made me happy. Probably one of the reasons why I signed up for that, because no one will write me notes. Haha!

Believe it or not, some notes actually came at the right time.

Today, I received this in my inbox.

Kind of like a reminder for me not to give in to my fear that I am facing right now.

Most of the time, we stop doing what we want to do because we have that fear. Fear of failures, rejections, unknowns, uncertainties and everything else that we are afraid of.

Fear is just a thought that you have created within yourself. Most of the things you worry about will never happen anyway. So, never let fear decides your fate.

Think about what you would do if you are not afraid.

And all you need is that first few seconds of courage!

Road Trip - Penang

The 2nd Penang Bridge

Penang! The epitome of Malaysia's finest food! But this blog post ain't about my glorious foodventure in Penang, though I did ate the best Penang Laksa at Air Itam and really good and authentic Nyonya food at Gurney!

I actually spent my weekend checking out old-school touristy places that we all visited when we were a kid with our parents. Back to relive those places, plus we had a native to tell us insider stories which made the entire trip so much more interesting!

Guan Yin at Kek Lok Si Temple

A row of buddha statues all around the temple

The Pagoda

The turtle pond still there!

Feeding time!

The dam at Air Itam - Water level is significantly low. I guess water rationing will hit Penang soon?

Then we went to the Thai temple with the Reclining Budhha...

The Reclining Buddha
The Buddha's foot
Tried my luck & spin the "Wheel of Fortune"

I think I got the worst fortune ever! Can't get any worst than "disaster"! D:

Then the opposite of the Thai temple is the Burmese temple. Both temples were so haps, preparing for the Songkran Festival!

More buddha

And on our way back, passed by Komtar!

On our way back, passed by the Heritage are with those infamous graffiti. But we only passed by these which I thought is so much cuter:

And so... that concludes my weekend roadtrip to Penang! Though the weather was extremely hot, but totally worth it!

Life as it is.

Have you ever felt the urge to leave everything behind, pack your bags and just go somewhere?

Been reading so much of "Eat, Pray, Love" lately that i guess the impulse to travel has just gotten stronger!

Truth is, we all have our ways of finding happiness in life.

It may be as simple as eating a slice of your favourite chocolate cake, getting yourself a tattoo or even

getting a one-way ticket to somewhere you've never been.

For my part, to travel is to take a journey into yourself.

The sense of getting lost in a stranger's place and finding yourself once again.

I find happiness in little beds and cramped bathrooms,

having limited internet connections and finding my way on a crumpled map,

drinking coffee in a hipster cafe

or even sharing conversations with a new friend on an overnight train.

That flexibility you will have while you're travelling without having to plan anything

is something we cannot achieve in our daily life routine.

The beauty you will find while exploring unfamiliar places and faces,

the random solitary moments you will discover,

and new perspectives of life you will realize from the endless adventures.

So, are you a wanderer? :)

You were given life,
it is your duty to find something beautiful within life,
 no matter how slight
-Eat Pray Love

Coffee Cottage - Cat Cafe

Meooow-llo!

I'm a HUGE cat-lover! (But I'm generally an animal lover). So when I heard there's a cat cafe opened in Malaysia, I'm like OMG MUST-GO! But the first ever Cat Cafe in Malaysia is located at Setapak (The Country Cat Cafe) and then followed by Coffee Cottage @ SS15

I've been procrastinating for a while now, and finally found the time to go! SS15 was more convenient for me, so I went to Coffee Cottage with my girls last Saturday afternoon!

In the cafe, there's two separate areas: The cafe area and the cats' room. You can bring your food & drinks into the cats' room, but don't go sharing your food & coffee with the kitties lah k!

There are about 7 cats there (maybe more in hiding?), but I guess it's nap time... all of them were in 'tak layan' mode. pfft~
And because it's a Saturday, it got a bit crowded, so it was pretty hard to play with them when everyone's trying to win the cats' attention. haha!

Generally, it's just coffee and desserts. I'm not sure if there's any mains, because I didn't really pay attention to the menu (we ate beforehand).

I heard that The Country Cat Cafe @ Setapak requires an entrance fee, but at Coffee Cottage, there's no entrance fee. LIKE!

If you love cats, definitely a must-go!

Ellie Goulding covers Kodaline

Hello!

I first fell in love with Kodaline's music when they released their single, "All I Want". It's slow and quite-emo but I really like the tune, plus the music video is quite... interesting (there's a Part 2 of the music video too!)! Well, it's obviously a really good song because Ellie Goulding did a cover of it and it's FLAWLESS! Played it on loop the whole morning... Have a listen below:

Kodaline has released their debut album, Perfect World last year and it's really good! Do check it out too! Amongst my fave tracks are: "High Hopes", "Love Like This" and "The Answer".

Enjoy!

The Beginning

Hi there!

We're Angeline, Jane, Joanne and Shirley! We've decided to start a blog to pen down our journeys and share with all the other wanderlusters out there.

A little background on us, we met at work! We were colleagues and soon after we became friends and now we're like sisters! We're different in many ways but we have one thing in common, that is to seek happiness in all the little things in life. Yes, we're very positive people with a motto to live everyday like it's the last day - We find joy in the simplest things in life :P

We love photography, travel, music, food and most importantly, the people in our life. So expect stories from our daily lives to backpacking adventures!

Why "Kinda Wanderlust"? Deep down, we're all wanderlusters with a desire to explore. Don't deny that you don't have the slightest desire to travel the world! So be it, if it's just a road trip to Melaka or a foodventure in KL to look for the best cafe, we'll wanna share it here!

So stick around and join in the adventure!

Cheers!
